Reinen Family

One of the greatest compliments a photographer can receive is being asked to take photos of another photographer’s family.  Every time this has happened to me I am immediately humbled, and thankful, and excited, and scared!

So when Stacy (the very talented Stacy!), of Stacy Reinen Photography, asked me to photograph her *stunningly beautiful* family, I was SOOO thrilled!  Stacy and I have worked together on several shoots and I’m so thankful for this art that brought her into my life.  See, that’s something that I didn’t realize when I first started this picture-taking adventure… it becomes about relationships as much as it is about creating art and memories.  Because you have to *know* your clients, peek inside their hearts and their worlds to discover how to show their inner selves to the world.  And you also get to meet other people who share this dream and passion with you – who see the world in light and shadow and movement magically frozen into a lasting moment.  Stacy is one of these people, and I’m so thankful to call her my friend.

Watching Stacy and Scot with their boys is beauty in motion.  I happen to have a very tender place in my heart for boys (since I’m a mom of two little monkeys myself), and the little guys in this family are everything it means to be ‘boy’ – from loving dirt and climbing and playing tough to snuggling with Mama and asking me to take a special picture as a surprise for her.  And aside from being a beautiful woman, even more importantly, Stacy is a gorgeous mother – her tender affection is right there in her smile and in her eyes as they light on her little men.  I love seeing this through my lens and working so hard to grab a bit of the beauty to share.
